The abstract, digital art that makes up the Into the Light series comes out of the feeling of isolation from the pandemic. The use of strong, bold colors and abstract shapes is my attempt to depict the move from the darkest days of the pandemic to a time when the worlds light comes back in force. The title comes from a friend who loves this series and said that it made her feel like we were heading out of the darkness and into the light. Into the Light 1, she said, seemed to have a misshapen heart, which represented the heart of humanity with all its faults but all its love as well.
