What artists influenced your work the most?
Although I’ve admired many artist such as J.M.W. Turner, Wassily Kandinsky, Edward Hopper, and many of the Impressionists like Monet, Degas, and Cézanne. My most important inspiration has come from Ellsworth Kelly, Mark Rothko, and other Abstract Expressionists. Also I seem to derive inspiration from many of the wonderful artists I follow on my Instagram account. Inspiration seems to be everywhere.
How did you move from photography to very abstract work?
I have always been drawn to the abstract in life. I think one of my first epiphanies came when I was a freshman in college and was in a campus gallery where I saw a very abstract piece and couldn’t take my eyes off of it. All I can remember of the work is that it was mostly red and had what looked like a hidden face buried in the paint. I must have looked at the art work for a half an hour. Even during my photography days I was always experimenting and trying to make photos that looked more abstract. So it has been something that has always excited me.
If I want to buy one of your works, is there a way to pay for it over time?
I use PayPal and when you click the PayPal “Order Now” button one of the purchase options is to pay with PayPal credit. You will have to check with PayPal for their requirements.
How long does it take until I can get my art work?
The printing studio that I work with usually can get my work ready for inspection within a few days. Once I inspect the work I will then have it shipped to you and will contact you with tracking information.
Do you offer online chat?
Yes, the icon on the lower right of the page allows you to contact me immediately. If I am away from the studio, you can leave your name and email address and I will follow up with you as soon as I get back. Also, you can book an appointment and we can discuss your interest in purchasing one of my digital fine art works by phone.
